Overview of Schedule Comparison

You can visualize a schedule by integrating 3D engineering data with a project schedule. It is designed to help in the planning stages of a project so that you can get a visual representation of the required tasks and prevent spatial conflicts.

The Animation Producer dialog is used to set up the schedule simulation. The Schedule Simulation toolbox opens when you type DIALOG TOOLBOX ANIMATION SCHEDULESIMULATION in the Key-in window.

A project is the overall plan for which you want to set up a schedule. An example project is a three-story office building (76,000 square feet).

A schedule is a chronological list of tasks used to complete the project, with start and finish dates and times for each task.

A task is one step in a schedule; and a task can have subtasks. A task in the schedule could be Foundations, with subtasks such as excavate foundations, excavate elevator pit, and form column piers and spread foundation.
